Mark Smith

Mark Smith was born and raised in Palm Springs California. After graduating high school Mark attended trade school at Arizona automotive institute to find a stable career and fund a future in art. Upon completing his education Mark found himself working in the oil field of south eastern New Mexico where he currently resides. 

Artist Statement:

As an artist, I am captivated by the power of movement within composition. From the very beginning of my journey, I was drawn to works that seemed to pulse with life. For me, capturing a moment of movement in a static form speaks volumes. It’s not just about what you see in the art, but also about the story it tells, where it's been, where it's going, and where it might lead.

As I age, I find myself increasingly focused on the heart of the artwork and the story it conveys. Movement, to me, is more than a visual element; it is the very essence of the narrative. I believe that through movement stories unfold.
